A very productive day!

It has been a while since I have been so productive in my card making but yesterday was my birthday and I spent the day crafting with my friend. Admittedly I had done lots of preparation the night before - cut the card blanks and designer series paper for the fronts, cut out and embossed lots of butterflies as well as other die cut embellishments.

All that work done meant I could get on and in the end I made 34 cards. Here are some of them

Gorgeous, gorgeous grunge!

Love this card my friend made today using the ever popular Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. The combination of Island Indigo and Crumb Cake lend for a masculine feel.

Using up scraps of DSP

I don't know about you but I love Designer Series Paper. I buy it because the patterns are so lush but then don't want to use them and before I know it they are about to be retired. I have come up with a simple card front that uses small pieces of DSP in a really easy way. Simply cut strips measuring 14x3 centimetres and assemble. This process works for male and female inspired cards. Here are a few I've made so far. Come back to see how I finish them off...be assured that will be quick and easy too!

Scrapbook page

Those of you who know me well will be surprised to read I have actually got the scrapbooking bug again. It has been quite a while since I did any scrapbooking so set myself the challenge of kick starting my mojo this holiday using Stampin up! Products only. So here is my latest attempt ( minus photo).

I began with a Whisper White 12x12 piece of card stock. I used the grid and the dot stamps from the Timeless Texture stamp set in black ink; plus a tiny flower from the Number of Years stamp set. I cut small pieces of Birthday Bouquet designer series paper and layered the different designs; topped of with Blushing Bride glitter card stock flowers and Mint Macron leaves cut from the Botanical Builder Framelits.
