Acorny Thank You

When I first saw this set I must admit I couldn't see it being used for anything other than Thanksgiving cards but after seeing it on the Stampin Up! Artisan blog hop a while ago I was introduced to other possibilities.

Vellum gift bag

I haven't made any 3 D projects for ages. I have recently purchased the beautiful Stampin up! Fancy foil vellum but then didn't know what to do with it. I found a tutorial for a simple bag I hadn't used for a while and set to work. I added gold ribbon and a gold metallic foil doily.

Aren't these small metallic doilies just lovely?

Other people's blogs

I am always surfing the internet to discover ideas from other people's blogs.; especially when I have lost my crafting mojo.  I just love this card from www.thecraftyowl.co.uk blog. Joanne has used one of my favourite stamp sets in the new Autumn Winter Catalogue released this week called 'Snow Place'. Why not visit her blog and have a nosey round? She is a very talented lady!

Stampin Up Perpetual Birthday Calendar

The latest kit I've completed happens to be the one I have had the longest and not got round to using. Why did I wait so long? I love it and it was fairly easy to complete with a few additional supplies like inks and the fabulous stamp set.

Here are my finished pages, month by month

Here it is in the lovely box it came in. I have just decorated it. It would make a lovely gift.

To you and yours shaker cards

Just look at the beautiful shaker cards you can make for Christmas this year. The kit makes 18 cards, six each of three different designs and they are absolutely lush. You can buy the kit from the 1st September.

Here they are:-

Then because I had a mishap and messed one up I made this one from some of the left over items. Please don't laugh- children at nursery could do better!

I put the sentiment inside as there wasn't any room outside

Tag a Bag Accessory Kit Note Cards

Instead of making tags I made cards!
I began by stamping the backgrounds with stamps from the 'Stamp a bag' stamp set in corresponding colours to match the tags. Then I utilised the tags , doilies, paper clips, linen thread and labels to decorate the cards. Sentiments were stamped from the Hostess only stamp set called 'Silhouettes and Scripts'. The flowers were punched from the flowered  tags before the labels were applied and pearls added to finish them off.
