Potty about flowers

Getting in the red, white and blue jubilee mood!

Today I have gone all patriotic with a bit of red (Poppy Parade), white (Whisper White) and blue (Concord Crush). First my Union Jack card:-

Doesn't it look great next to my new cushion?

I also made some 4x4 cards and matching box in the same colourways using the Mixed Blossom Stamp set and matching punch. Here is the box:-

More Bright Blossoms

The colourway here is Blushing Bride. I made a little holder from a 12x12 piece of Designer Series Paper. I used Stampin Up! Note cards and envelopes for a quick and easy set.

This variation is in Pear Pizazz. One side of the holder stores the cards whilst the reverse holds the matching envelopes.

This is what the holder looks like from the side.

Bright Blossoms Box

Today I have been having fun with a new stamp set from the Summer Mini catalogue called Bright Blossoms. It is such a simple set, but there are so many ways it can be used. Here are just a few. The colours I have used are: Pear Pizazz, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade and Concorde Crush teamed with the wonderful Whisper White.

First I made a one sheet wonder style piece of card and turned it into a box.

This is what the card looked like to begin with:-

The cardstock was cut to 12x 8.5 inches. On the short side score at 2.5 inches and again at 6 inches with your simply scored from Stampin' UP!
Turn paper and score on the long side 1.25", 2.5",5",7",9.5" and 10.75"

Cut into the middle scores at 5 and 7"up to the 2.5" score on one side and then 6" score on the other side. Then go to the outer edges and score up to the 2.5" score on the 2.5 and 6" score lines then go to the other side and cut back to the 9.5" score line at both 2.5" and 6" score lines.

Next take your oval punch and punch into the middle rectangle on each end this will be your handles so make sure you go far enough in up to the edge of the first score line is good.

Then you are going to fold and crease the squares next to the middle cuts outward toward the handle section. Do all 4 squares.
Here is another picture for you.

Now you are going to reinforce your folds in the middle and flip up those flaps and you will fold each side towards the middle.

Once it is all folded, it looks like the photograph above, from the side view.

I made some 3x3 cards to co-ordinate with the box.

Nursery Nest Fancy Fold Mini Book

What a shame the little birds ended up upside down on the flap. I won't do that again! The pull down pages are ideal for journalling or photographs.

Nursery Nest and Framelit Treat Holder

This was so quick and SO easy to make but is just adorable!

The aviary stamp set is so versatile.

Nursery Nest and Aviary Stamp Set. A perfect combination?

Love the colour combination of Perfect Plum, Marina Mist. Pear Pizazz, Basic Grey and Blushing Bride. The frames were made using the framelit label collection for the BigShot that are available from Stampin Up!'s new Summer Mini catalogue. They are fab!
Why not have a browse of the whole catalogue here

There are six sizes in the set.

Everyday Enchantment version - Cute, cute, cute!

I had not used my owl punch for quite some timen so thought he needed to see the light of day again and I am so glad I did. I love him! He shows off the free papers very well don't you agree?

Spice cake - Mix and match

I am on a roll making 'mix and match boxes' of cards like the ones I made early on in my blogging days. Although Spice cake has now retired I thought you might like to see what I created with it. The design is so easy it can be adapted to lots of papers and stamp sets. More of those later!
