Origami Christmas Tree Card

Made a very quick and easy card using Stampin Up Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla and Real Red cardstock. What do you think?

Shame the Dazzling Diamonds do not look like they are dazzling!

Flip Flap Book

Again using Stampin Up's Play Date Designer Series paper and matching card stock... a flip flap mini book. I will show you when I have added photographs and journalling.

Stationery Set

This is what I have made this afternoon. As usual, by the time I have finished the light is really bad for taking photographs. I used Stampin Up! Play Date Designer Series paper and co-ordinating cardstock.

Mix and Match Box of Cards

How many times have you looked for a card for a specific occasion only to find the ones you have are for something else altogether? I found the above box by LeeAnn Greff on the internet and thought it was a great idea to be able to select a greeting and to add it when I needed it. So here is my interpretation of the one above.

I used the Brights Patterned Designer Series Paper - Rich Razzleberry; Tempting Turquoise; Old Olive and Melon Mambo: the Potpourri Punch Stamp set: the Two Way Bird Punch, the Boho Blossoms Flower Punch; the Oval and Scalloped Oval Punches as well as Basic Pearls. The box was made by using the cardstock that comes in the Designer Paper packs, as was the sleeve which is shown in the bottom photograph.

Variation on a theme!

After I made the square cards with the Curly Label Punch I decided to have a go at making some using the Scalloped Square Punch: I kept to the colour theme of using the 5 In Colours. These are the results:

Apologies for the dark photograph
I liked the effect; especially with the  Basic Pearls but decided what the cards really needed to finish them off was some ribbon; as I didn;t have any matching ribbon to hand I dyed my own using Whisper White satin ribbon and the corresponding ink pad. Here they are drying on the radiator.

Here is the Blushing bride with added home made ribbon!

I think it is an improvement; don't you?

And here they are as a collection. Sorry but the light was fading fast so the photographs are even more rubbish than normal!

Trendy Trees Tote

I used a tutorial by Kimberley Van Diepen to create this wonderful tote and 6 4x4 cards using the Trendy trees stamp set; Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip card stock. The inks used were Chocolate Chop, Old Olive, Pumkin Pie and Soft Suede. Hope this inspires you!

I love it so decided to make one with a Christmas theme using my favourite Delightful Decorations stamp set; Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock and Jolly Holiday designer series paper. Here it is:

Birthday card

For this card I used the new and fabulous Artistic Etchings stamp set along with the En Francais background stamp. I kept it simple by just using Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler ink and Real Red satin ribbon. Once again all products are by Stampin Up! The Eiffel tower is straight in real life - Honest!

More Christmas cards

It is a shame that you cannot see the glisten of the Dazzling Diamonds on the branches in this photograph.

An embossed Delightful Decorations stamp, Dazzling |Diamonds, and Frost White shimmer paint spray on this one.

More of the same with another stamp from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set on Nights of Navy card stock.

Scrapbooking with a friend

A couple of weeks ago my friend Tina came over for the day to do some scrapbooking. As she hasn't scrapped for ages she needed some inspiration. We used some of my Stampin Up resources to embellish her pages of our summer trip to Cornwall, and the Eden project in particular.

We used the trunk from the Trendy Trees stamp set and a marker to recreate the lavender and the swirl from the Baroque Motifs stamp set to add a florish to opposite corners.

On the above page we used the 5 petal flower punch, the one inch circle punch  and leaves from the Vintage Vogue stamp set to create the sunflowers.

On this page Tina used the scallop circle punch to create the flowers which were made from Whisper White cardstock that was then inked on the edges; the Fast Flowers stampin around roller stamp to create the floral border and Whisper White satin ribbon along the bottom of the page. We stamped flowers from Vintage Vogue stamp set with Basic pearls stuck in the centre to add definition and the scallop edge border punch as photo mounts.

Rudolf and his fellow reindeers

I made this card and tags with the Sparkly and Bright stamp set; using real red card stock and ribbon and a spinkling of Dazzling Diamonds to help guide Santa's sleigh. The reindeers were stamped in Early Espresso. I used the small and large tag punches and Very vanilla taffeta ribbon for the tags. Sorry about the quality of the photograph... I hope you still get the idea.

Wrapping paper

Whilst I had the Stampin Up Delighful decorations stamp set, the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler ink pads out I decided to make some wrapping paper to match the cards and tags. I used a roll of lining paper as the base and made a huge one sheet wonder; starting off with the largest and working down to the smallest stamps. I finished the parcel off with one of the tags from the box in the previous post and some Real Red satin ribbon.

Christmas luminaria

What's a luminaria?  It's pronounced loo-muh-nair-ee-uh or loo-mee-nah-ryah (Spanish) and refers to a small light or lantern.

I made mine using Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the ornament punch to cut out the shape and the Delightful Decorations stamp set, stamped onto vellum in Old Olive ink and stuck over the bauble cut out. The top was created using the new scallop border punch. A battery operated tea light was then popped inside.
